Feng Shui actually means wind and water. Being in harmony with the earth. It consists of five elements: fire, earth, metal, water and wood.
We all desire love, giving it and receiving it. Sometimes we fall so quickly and deeply in love or we thought we were. When we do find that special someone knowingly or not we tend to set impractical expectations. We do not take into account the daily attributes of life.we forget to accept our partner for who they are and not expect them to become someone they are not. I you need the person to change you are with than they may not be the one you should be with.
Every relationship hits a bump in the road from time to time. Just like it takes work to care for your home, so does a relationship. It always needs a tweak from time to time. Romantic surprising gestures is the perfect tweak. Doing something lavish is not required. Simple love coupons (example: breakfast in bed, a night of you alone includes no cell phones, t.v .) left on their pillow, inside a briefcase can bring their heart soaring to new levels.
Introduce a new element into your relationship. If your element is fire bring in a wood element such as a beautiful basket of flowers. Each element cultivates the elements on either side of it.

Fire produces ashes which help conceive the earth. Our earth produces metal when liquefied creates water and in return the water cultivates and produces wood. To find your element there are charts available such as in bookstores that carry Feng Shui books, purchase a chart online at Feng Shui suppliers or online for free such as this one.
Using the elements here are some romantic ways to incorporate them.
Wood - creative, socialable and charming. It is represented by the color green. Think of flowers that are freshly cut, potted plant or beautiful wooden trinket boxes.
Fire - enthusiastic/active. Romantic smelling candles such as fragrance of vanilla, magnolia to name a few. Red is the representation color for fire.
Earth - being stable, reliable, patient and organized. Think of ceramics/pottery such as figurines or pottery, tile squares. Earth is represented by the color yellow.
Metal - is in relationship to money, success and business. It has a representation color of white, gold or metallic colors. Gifts such as metallic bracelets for one example.
Water- travel, learning and communication. It is represented by the colors blue and black. A simple serenity fountain can be that perfect gift.
Here are some more ideas to use that are simple and easy:
- Buy some romantic bedding such as silk sheets add some red or purple candles in the room.
- Remove any old relationship items from your home especially in the bedroom. Do not leave his old sweater or her picture hanging around.
- Remove the clutter such as trash, dead plants et. Use the colors of romance pink, red and white. Ok men do not panic on me here you can use grayish tones of pink and white or even maroon. Do not use to much of one color it can over power the other colors in the room. Brown, beige and lavender are also good to use.
- Pairing up encourages the love. I mean such as two candles or two nightstands. Remember the bedroom is for romance only please do not have work in there or exercise equipment.
